Q.
We have decided to renovate our
kitchen, not only are our cabinets old & outdated,
but we really are unhappy with our layout. What should
our first step be as a consumer?
A. If
you have decided to renovate your entire kitchen, your
first step should be to consult a professional to help
you maximize your space by designing your layout according
to you individual needs. There are many things that factor
into the decision process and a design professional can
really help you coordinate your project. Most people fail
to realize that before you begin shopping for product,
you need to have a design/layout.
Q. I
really need more space for entertaining, I’ve decided
to build an addition off the back of my house, I don’t
know what my options are?
A. There
are many things to consider, analyzing your existing space
to create the right design for the area involved. (you
don’t want to make the common mistake of going too
big or too small) You need to decide what is important
to you. Do you want an open & bright space with many
windows, what type of roof , do you want something basic
or dramatic? These are all issues we can help you resolve.
Q. I
have a support wall between my kitchen and dining room
that I would like to remove to create more openness, can
this be done ?
A. The
answer is simply YES. This is a common fear/problem for
many homeowners and shouldn’t be. Often times removing
the support wall is a great solution to create more space
and can make for a much more efficient & creative
design and can often reduce the homeowners cost by avoiding
the need for an addition
